Our mission is simple: to fill storytime with laughter, heart, and a love for reading. We believe that the best stories are not just for fun—they are powerful tools for learning and connection. Our journey began with a simple idea: to create read aloud books for ages 2-5 that make kids giggle, parents smile, and everyone feel a little closer at the end of the day.

We specialize in funny books for toddlers and preschoolers that are crafted with a purpose. Beyond the silly rhymes and playful characters, each story is a gentle guide to literacy development and important life skills.
Mouse the Cat is a not-so-big cat, and little ones will recognize themselves in her humorous reactions and big feelings. We weave social-emotional themes into every story, helping kids learn about friendship, patience, and how to navigate a world that can sometimes feel a little overwhelming.

About the Author
My name is Laura Papero
Laura Papero grew up in a house full of books—and now writes them! As a mom to twin boys, some of her favorite memories are of snuggling them in her lap with a stack of stories at bedtime. After all kinds of adventures around the world (and more than a few surprising jobs), she’s finally living her childhood dream: creating playful, heartfelt books for kids and their grownups to enjoy together. She now lives in the rolling bluegrass hills of Kentucky with her family—and the real Mouse the Cat.

My name is Vety Fatimah
Vety Fatimah is an illustrator based in Indonesia who brings Mouse the Cat and her friends to life with playful, colorful charm. She loves creating joyful, expressive characters that make young readers smile. When she’s not drawing, Vety enjoys exploring new art styles, spending time with her family & friends, and dreaming up big adventures for little characters.
