Laura Papero is the author of Mouse the Cat™, a collection of laugh-out-loud picture books for toddlers and preschoolers ages 2–5.
Inspired by the humor, curiosity, and joyful chaos of early childhood, Laura writes playful stories about Mouse, a not-so-big cat with golden eyes, endless energy, and a talent for turning ordinary days into unforgettable adventures.
Filled with friendship, imagination, silly mishaps, and plenty of giggles, every Mouse story captures the big feelings, funny moments, and everyday discoveries that make growing up an adventure.
With colorful illustrations, lovable characters, and stories kids ask to hear again and again, Mouse the Cat is always a favorite read-aloud for little ones and the grown-ups who love sharing stories with them.
Laura lives in Kentucky with her family and continues to dream up new adventures for Mouse and her friends, because there's never been a cat quite like Mouse.
About the Illustrator
My name is Vety Fatimah
Vety Fatimah is an illustrator based in Indonesia who brings Mouse the Cat and her friends to life with playful, colorful charm. She loves creating joyful, expressive characters that make young readers smile. When she’s not drawing, Vety enjoys exploring new art styles, spending time with her family & friends, and dreaming up big adventures for little characters.
